Dr. Zafar was trained at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed an internal medicine residency at New York Medical College. She attended Ross University School of Medicine. While in training, she authored numerous publications and was selected for both oral and poster presentations at the national meetings of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; she is a member of both organizations.
