About Nina Vlainich, FNP-BC
Nina is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in medical dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group. She practices in Altamont, New York.
She provides care for a wide range of dermatologic concerns, including acne, rashes, skin cancers and routine skin exams. Nina is passionate about medical dermatology and brings a patient-centered, compassionate approach to every visit.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Excelsior College and went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Nina is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Albany Medical Center. She also worked as a registered nurse at Schweiger Dermatology Group while completing her advanced practice degree, giving her early exposure and experience in dermatologic care.
Outside of the clinic, Nina enjoys staying active at the gym and spending time with friends and family. She’s especially happy when relaxing with her beloved black long-haired German Shepherd, Hank.
