Her interest in dermatology grew from her own experiences with acne and a genuine desire to help others improve their skin health. She is particularly drawn to how dermatology combines medical treatment with the opportunity to enhance patients’ confidence through skincare and cosmetic solutions.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner studies from Long Island University.

With a diverse nursing background, she has gained experience in Telemetry, Emergency, and PACU, along with NP experience in inpatient Internal Medicine. She completed Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship program, which combines rigorous academic and clinical training by top Dermatology providers, allowing her to gain direct, hands-on experience in General, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology.

Lia is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.
